As my last blog title had the word "SPRING(time)" THIS blog however; will be the opposite. As many of you know, the big "SNOW BLIZZARD" did actually arrive as planned on Friday morning. Our morning started off with a phone call cancelling school. It has been a VERY LONG time since Perryton has cancelled school due to snow. Anyways, our day inside involved a cozy fire, breakfast for lunch (thanks to my sweet hubby who prepared biscuits and gravy), lots of playing, and even a nap for Dent and Adlee. Adlee discovered how fun play-dough was, cooked Dent and I a lot of Yummy dishes in her kitchen, and sang a lot of songs. AK is into singing. She loves to sing "Rock-a-By-Baby", "Baa. Baa. Black Sheep", "Jesus Loves Me", and she even made up a song about her plaa-plaa (which translates to pillow). Her little VOICE is just the SWEETEST sound to our ears.
We did venture out into the snow as it was falling yesterday. Adlee wasn't real sure about it all, but she decided it wasn't too bad once she touched it. We stayed outside just long enough to catch snowflakes on our tongues (or try anyways). The pups also like the snow...Leeper and Winston are fun to watch as they leap in and out of the snow drifts. They even decided to make a lap or two to get some energy out since they had been inside SLEEPING all day.

OH MY! This morning we woke to more snow and drifts that are quite large. Dent and Doyal had planned on shoveling and using the snow blower at several homes. Dent was not looking forward to shoveling all day, but this morning, our sweet neighbor called and offered Dent his snow blower. WOW! What a huge difference it made for Dent. Now, Dent and Doyal can really get some snow shoveling done around town. I know the work isn't easy, but I think they have a great time doing it together. Plus, it involves "TOOLS" and "MOTORS" so what's not to love...IF you are a guy!!!
Even though all of this snow can be a mess, the moisture was greatly needed. Plus, I am sure lots of little boys and girls are outdoors making snowmen and snow angels.

Loook at those boys! GETTER' DONE (LOL)

Adlee looks like a little snow Punkin!! She's so cute in that hat and all bundled up.
I think you are right. Doyal and Dent worked hard but they always have a great time together, whether they are working or playing. You got some good pictures!!
Love,
Deb
