an EGG-citing day down on the MOO-CLUCK farm

Yesterday Adlee and I spent most of the day visiting my Mom and Dad on the farm. We started off with chicken strips and french fries for lunch and then a nap was on the MUST-DO list. After a three hour nap...it was FINALLY time to dye Easter eggs with MeMe. MeMe had all the cups and utensils out to make this project go smoothly. After we added all the liquid ingredients it was AK's turn to drop the color tablets into the cups. Some cups got more than one color, but we didn't care...(What AK wanted, AK got). Then, it was time to stir the colors. Of course when we gave AK a spoon she thought it was time to drink or eat the colored the water:) She did stir the water and made a huge mess doing so. Next came the really fun part...Dropping the eggs in SLOW and EASY. Well...there was NO slow and easy with AK at first. She would drop them in and water would, once again, go everywhere. Towards the end she got the hang of it and we only had one cracked egg, very surprising!!! Our eggs turned out beautiful and the mess was an easy clean-up. Thank you MeMe for allowing Adlee to turn your kitchen into a"SPLASH of COLOR".

A mess of COLOR...

Then, it was time for some outside fun. Adlee talks about Mo0-MOo's all the time and she also knows that MeMe and PaPa have cows at their house, so we hopped on the 4-wheeler and headed out to see them UP CLOSE! My parents have some cows with huge horns, which look scary, but Adlee just enjoyed the view and she had NO FEAR of them being very close to her.

MeMe and Adlee looking at the Mo0-mOo'sLast...we went and fed the baby chicks. Mom and Dad have about 30 of them and AK does NOT like them at all. In fact, she held on to me for dear life...go figure, a huge cow is nothing to her but a small fur ball is Scary, Scary! I did hold one in my hand, but AK was not amused.

This is the ODD-ball chick of the bunch!!!

all the little chicks together!!!
Wow! What a fun day we had just chilling with MeMe and PaPa, mostly MeMe since PaPa was working on vehicles and doing little chores around the farm.

P.S. My Mom just LOVES the title of this blog (HA). She thinks it sounds pretty "HICK", but I just laughed and said, "Well...I was speaking in AK language when I typed it out"
