Last week was quite a busy one with end of school activities, a new family pet, scrapbooking, a cook-out, a huge painting project and ,of course, the OUTDOORS with Adlee. WOW...I am just happy to be sitting down long enough to type this entry:)
I am just going to scatter pictures of AK through-out this blog entry. The pictures won't always match the descriptions of our week, but at least you will see AK's SMILING face while you read!!!
As you all know, we STILL have about two weeks of school left and this teacher is out of FUN things and activities to do with her kiddos. The days we are in the classroom is quite a whirl-wind with the kiddos being crazy and the their teacher going CRAZY (LOL). We do have a lot of fun things planned, so that will help pass the time:)
YES...AK did get a new pet last week. Well, we will call her ROSIE and she is black with white speckles and she loves to swim. Any guesses??? It's a FISHY and AK is in LOVE with it. Rosie has landed a place in AK's room and she has received a lot of attention the past week.
Of course, scrapbooking is always fun. I think we do more talking and laughing than actual work, but it is great to have GIRL-TIME. I did get caught up on my album and I am now ready to start a new one:)
Friday, we had a cook-out with all the staff from the Top of Texas (the school Dent works at) at our house. It was very successful and we had a great time. I think we ALL needed a break from the end of year stress. We grilled chicken and everyone else brought the fixin's such as home-made salsa, potato salad, homemade ice-cream (2 kinds), rolls, and several other desserts. It was all very YUMMY for our TUMMIES.
Saturday and today, I have been texturing, painting, and glazing for my good friend's parents in Gruver. WOW, what a job I took on, but I am happy to report that the kitchen is all finished and the bedroom (which is the size of a two-car garage) is all textured and ready for paint on Wednesday. What a sweet little family I am working for. They needed a little help to get ready for a high school graduation at the end of the month. Congrats to Jordan, SR. 2009.
Here is the painting project AK and I completed during the week!!! The flower pot is placed on my front porch and has beautiful purple geraniums in it. I just love doing crafty things with AK.
I am preparing myself for yet ANOTHER busy week at school (a track meet, bowling party in Liberal, KS, and AR picnic all day Friday), painting, BUNKO (another night with the girls) and going to Amarillo for the weekend. WOW...we are very busy this month.
