OOOOOh, La, La...Pretty flowers

Each year around Mother's Day my Dad takes me flower shopping to fill my big pots and flower bed. I enjoy this special time of year for many reasons, but flower shopping is one of my favorites. My dad is an expert when it comes to designing pots and making sure I have the correct type of flowers for my different locations. So, on Friday evening we (it was a FAMILY affair) played in the "dirt" and made huge progress in making my front yard look beautiful (if I must say myself)!!! WOW! It is amazing what a little COLOR will do in a yard. This year we added a valuable gardner to the scene...AK was old enough to help with the planting and she LOVED playing in the dirt and she LOVED getting to water the flowers once they were planted. I am sure AK will be helping with the watering all summer long. Plus, she will be able to get a cool-down since 9 out of 10 times she ends up drenched from head to toe:)

A big "THANK YOU" goes out to my Mom and Dad for allowing me to have such a beautiful yard. You both are great and AK says, "OOOOO-PETTY" which means pretty flowers each time we walk out the front door!!!
